Hi Cane.
I am looking for R-package and LE, not SE.
I have the 93LE which is the one with dark red leather interior.
Only 1500 93LE were sold in USA.
My car was awarded the Miata of the Month in september:
Here is the article about my car (93LE):
http://www.miata.net/motm/2009/leopold.html
And here is a photo:
http://s176.photobucket.com/albums/w...7/_DSC0979.jpg
The R-package was only produced in 94. 95, 96 and 97.
A total (for all years) of 1841 were sold in USA.
This is a photo of my 95 R-package:

Erik
Thanks for the info, but i know what the LE is (and there is at least one that looks almost like yours in the forum, the users name is Holger i think). I thought you were looking for some Special Edition (i don`t know why !)
And , yes, i know how the R-package Miatas look like, too !
Like i said, i have the wing right here in my garage and the torsen-LSD of it allready installed. And i think the R-pacjage rims were the hollow spokes, right ? Then i also have them, but they are mounted on my Mazda 323 BG (Protegè).
But like i said, i don`t really know if someone here has a full equiped R-package Miata.
Btw. there is more than this forum on MX5.de, but if you can`t read german you will have a few problems by understanding it.

Which forum would you recommend to ask this question in ?
You can "build" an R-package if you have all the right parts.
(But to a collector, it will still not be an R-package, the VIN will tell)
You have to have the special suspension as well, the shocks (Bilstein), the springs, manual steering, swaybars, stays, endlinks etc.
Erik
>Which forum would you recommend to ask this question in ?
Just this board here. Nothing else.![]()
People here use an acronym "MaeF", which is translated word-by-word to "More than a forum" (in german "Mehr als ein Forum").
It means, that mx-5.de is not just a discussion board, but has also
a database of informations about the Miata/MX-5.
Articles (static pages) can be found on http://www.mx-5.de/html/hauptseite.shtml (in german language).
A second meaning of the term MaeF is, that you get help and answers
to questions that have nothing to do with the car (the community is
very large and we have people of all different skills here).
There is no other relevant MX-5 forum in germany.
Regards,
Martin (who only owns a 1991 canadian LE Miata)
Hi Holger.
Nice![]()
The Canadian LE is even more rare compared to the USA-version.
Only 600 were made, right (not numbered) ?
You have a different trunk spoiler as well, and no front/rear air-dam (originally).
Your car looks beautifull.
Do you also have an USA-LE ?
Erik
Hi Erik
I removed the original Spoiler and added the original airdam. I changed the wheels to 15` BBS and love them. The 93 LE is rare in Germany too. I know about 5 different cars but I don`t know if they are all still running.
unfortunatly it is the only Miata I have.
regards
Holger

There is on Canadian 93LE here in Norway.
The car is missing the original Spoiler.
Do you want to sell yours ?
Erik
Hi Erik,
I`m not collecting the R-Parts, i just got a 1.8l spanish import MX5 that has the same LSD than the R-package. The rear spoiler was not planned, but i got it realy cheap, so i bought it.
2 years ago i bought a set of original rims to use them for my wintertyres, i just found out that they are the R-package hollow spokes this year !![]()
and the rest i don`t care, got some bilstein shocks too, but that are the B6 version, so they are stiffer than the oem and the R-package shocks.
the swaybars are standart on the later 1,8l MX5`s in europe, so there are all of them on my car. what`s the differnce between the endlinks ?
Btw.: even Mazda Motors Germany doesn`t know anything about my car, and the Vin is useless because it`s a spanish version that was imported. So i don`t know what else is special on my MX5, all i know is that it`s a `95 model, with the new dashboard and doorboards but it has no airbags and no headlamp beam height control (what was standart in germany).

Sorry Erik,
I sold the Spoiler years ago.
Hi Erik,
I'm driving a 97 US M-Edition Miata since last summer. The 97 M-Edition came originally with chromed alloy wheels which I changed to the wheels you can see on the pictures.

Very nice indeed![]()
Only 3000 Marina Green M-edition were ever made in US, so I bet you have not seen his brother often.
I hope you have kept the rare crome wheels:
I like the M-sign on the fender as well (you can find it on eBay from time to time):
http://aa4m.com/photos/cars/miata/miata07Resized.jpg
Have you got the original radio ?
I have the Nardi shift knob (If you miss it):
http://www.miata.net/faq/mfield.html
Your beauty looks like it it in mint condition.
Congratulations .....

Hi Erik,
the previous owner told me that this should be the only 97-M here in Germany and yes you are right, I've never seen a 2nd one
The car has about 50.000 Miles and it is only our 3rd car, so I think it should be easy for me to keep it in that good condition. The chromed wheels are damaged - I think chorme-plated alloy wheels are nothing which lasts forever. Maybe I will overwork them in the future, but to be honest, I don't like this "flashy" look at all... But you are right, I will keep them definitely.
http://www.abload.de/img/m-editionchromfelgent3k1.jpg
Regarding the stock radio, the previous owner promissed me that he will try to find the stock MPSS-Radio in the US for me... I hope that he will keep his word. At the moment, the car has no radio and I'm planning to install a newer Mazda radio from the NBFL![]()

I have seen two. One at a german MX-5 meeting some years ago belonging to a forum member (yours?) and one in Kaiserslautern belonging to a member of the US Forces based probably in Ramstein.

I can try it but i don't think they'll help me.
It's sold by a professional seller and it doesn't look like a reliable car-seller
but more like one who sells crap cars to innocent jung student girls.![]()

Hallo from Norway
Hi!
I am searching for owners of rare Miatas in Germany.
I have a Miata 1993 Limited Edition and a Miata 1995 R-package.
So I wonder if there are any Germans who have any of these cars.
Please give my a message if anyone knows about these Miatas.
All the best from
Erik

Hi Christian,
Frohe Weihnachten
